MGMT

I think MGMT ("Oracular Spectacular") is going to end up being a huge throwback (i.e. adored) eventually.

"Arab Spring"

George W. Bush is (at least partly) responsible for democracy in the Middle East. I expect that nobody else will point this out.

Umm

I'm pretty mad at The New Pornographers for letting one of my favorite songs, "Move", be used in a commercial. I hate that! I disagree with pretty much any band that lets a song of theirs get used for a commercial. Interesting dilemma or exception, though, is that I only started listening to Phoenix because I heard their song so often in that car commercial. So...

Responsibly Square

The other day (July 8) I visited a high-school classmate Antoine Grant at his office for his new project Responsibly.com. It's a very interesting and promising concept. While there, I thought of an idea and I told them. They ought to, I said, throw a party, in conjunction with Square, who would take in-person payments for them.

"It's more Pink than Burgundy!" (Quote from some random girl walking out of Burg one night)

I snorted a gnat the other day. I literally thought I was going to die. I was so stressed.

Conan is so badass. * ("There'a a new app, that lets you get items at a 7-Eleven, without using cash, or credit card. The app is known as a "gun".)

We, the U.S., are in a tremendous strategic position of leverage as a result of the recent uprisings and support for democracy in the Middle East. Aren't we? or, at least, shouldn't we be?

Jeezus, though, on the other hand, the fact that our allies are *arming* the rebel groups. Duh. Fail.

Way to go, Middle East. Democracy, structure, political representation, etc.

Facebook basically could potentially equal "every person I've ever met in my Life".

Someone should write a novel about Tiger Woods.

The Stupidification of America. :(

Hey you know who I like? Superintendent Chalmers

Idea: Get everyone in some other country hooked on (our) drugs. For America!

Warren Buffett on The Office?! And his jokes were epic. That was amazing.

Snaxtime

Weird word = "Rewind" think about it.

If I started a band right now I'd call it Albino Rhino.

Holy shiiiiiiiiit Timmy Lincecum is truly a savage.

Andy Rooney was the O.G. "blogger"

The pussification of America

Idea: Citizenship Courses

Me + Dispensary = Kid + Candy Shop. My new Life begins today. (Apr. 13, 2011 * one of the most fun / best days ever)

Snax : So I have a new way of eating sushi. A "sushi strategy" you might say. (I think it might actually be the proper way you're supposed to eat it?) Anyway, regardless, - dip fish into soy sauce, however, only a slight dip of the "tail" end (i.e. which is the side that is away from you). Then eat.

All these hackers what the fuck. (In case you didn't know, there have been many news stories about hackers infiltrating different companies and cyber vulnerabilities lately. I bet they're in Iran or China or something... Ugh.) Be careful!

I think my entire vocabulary consists of one word : "damn".

Humanity IS Information Overload.

Cool word : Biodegradeable

The Internet : Where you can't get away from anyone. ever.

* All these records need asterisks. It's a real shame.

Salmon Phase. I'm always in some sort of phase regarding food. For instance, for a while like a few months ago I was really into onions i.e. lots of onions on everything, and so on. Well, these days I've been eating salmon. This is really weird, because literally I have never ever been into eating salmon. I have no idea where this came from.

Angels : Jered facking Weaver racking up Ks and throwin' darts on Sunday versus Toronto on Sunday. Threw a hell of a game. Go Halos! Also, Go Ducks!

Gov't : Internet : Identities and Information. Passwords. Identities. Life. Accounts. Laws. Data. Persons. Death.

^ p.s. That's all I have (actually, "am going to") write, right now, because this topic is one about which I think allllll the time. I have this whole idea that the Government actually should regulate The Internet in a number of ways, pertaining to the safety of individuals, our identities, our creations, our data, and so on and so forth. For instance, think about Facebook. What happens when you die? Ummm... Scary. Mark Zuck owns (all) my shit?

Additionally, this brings me to another point of these matters, which is the idea that an individual human being in this day and age... actually can live forever. Right? Strange concept. Think about it though. For instance, DJ AM // Adam G, one of my idols, passed away. However, it is, and was, consequently at (uh) Twitter's, and Facebook's, discretion to remove or eliminate his personal pages on their services, along with all the data contained in there. How does this work? What if they didn't want to, respond, feel like, or whatever, taking down his page? He lives forever. His data is up there forever. What? Scary. Government, please help. (Make laws, e.g. holding Internet companies accountable.) It's totally possible.

ALSO, (while I'm at it, I'll continue this topic) IF the Government did enact laws which protected my data, safety, passwords, held the owner of each domain accountable for people's information, etc. IF the Internet weren't, like, some crazy disorganized "wild west" / "free-for-all" type of place.... I could imagine signing into websites, storing stuff, files, having access to programs, applications, to help me be productive, save computer space, what are now websites being able to be utilized as practical helpful applications... and so on. And I would feel (i.e. be) safe. And not get fucked with.

For instance, just occurred to me, haven't you heard about the recent Google massive file loss and deletion of Gmail accounts, or whatever it was that just happened? Yeah, that's not a laughing matter. That's serious stuff! Come on. What the fuck.

I think I always have (at least) one fast-food franchise that I hate at one time. Currently, it's El Pollo Loco. I used to hate Subway.

"It's nudie-magazine day!"

I wonder if my dog, like, thinks I'm God, because I can make water and treats appear out of nowhere.

Snax : For the following recipe / mixture, I believe that I am a culinary genius. - Honey Nut Chex and Cookie Crisp at the same time = omgod.

I just started thinking that my "Fave Songs" playlist on iTunes is pretty weird. e.g. The Vandals, Vanessa Carlton, Queen, Dr. Dre, Emergency Rock Unit, and so on. [Apr. 13, '11] (p.s.1. / random : no matter how many times it has been covered, the original "Under Pressure" by David Bowie and Queen is still by far the best. : p.s.2. Ash (the band) is also on there. : p.s.3. No one knows Emergency Rock Unit. They were my buddy's band a while ago. Whatup Tim.)

In my opinion @DeeJayHem is the new DJ AM, in a #legendary way... Mad Skills.

The Internet, where you care about what people who you don't even know are doing.

Few Things

uhh, so, it's very apparent that we (humans) are supposed to figure out a safe and environmentally-sustainable way to create energy.

This little Korean boy shouting on tv just sounded like the start of a Beastie Boys song. Trip out on that.

I want to fuck The Raveonettes' and The Sounds' sound. Trip out on that. (And M.I.A.['s] too, sort-of).

I fucking love Journey so much. And how can you hate on that srsly. I'm rocking (i.e. nerding) out to a Journey concert on tv right now o yeah.

Mad crush on Tina Fey.

I <3 Van Hellsing. (p.s. you don't get it. Some friends do however.)

Idea : iPhone cropping app idea - An app for iPhone that allows you to crop and edit photos on-the-fly. I want paint capabilities.

Y'all, check out Fitrition Cafe a.k.a. Fit Food in West Hollywood. Very good. I've been going there. [NoWestHollywooomo] ?

Can't really hate on the following song. Right? I mean... Those verses are badass. (I had never seen this video until now though.)

Snax / Random : Ketchup = weirdest concept ever... I hate tomatoes. but, I'm down with Ketchup. Yes, I am #Faded. Thanks for asking :) p.s. wtf why is it called "ketchup" anyway? ever think about that? what kinda name is that. I can't find the info. aaand go. [update: I still could hardly find anything. I mean, I found it, but it was dumb and trivial and I forgot.]

I want to re-design Frankie. Damnit.

Random thought : "...listen to a book" (= wtf?)

America is, still, though, the "Land Of Opportunity".

Dear Avril Lavigne... Go away! Dear "Lady Gaga"... Go away! [update: Actually... having seen the interview with Lady Gaga on 60 Minutes, I am re-thinking my position. I might actually be a "Lady Gaga" fan... I want more information kthx. p.s.2. 60 Minutes = most important and, possibly, best [?] show on television.]

Idea : App = "Now Listening To...". I want an app that works, sorta like Shazam and IntoNow (OntoNow? Some tv app on which you let it listen to about 20 seconds of whatever tv show you're watching, and it identifies it and saves or broadcasts it via Facebook, Twitter, etc... I've been into it lately.) Anyway, yeah, I want an app like those but regarding music, so it listens to and identifies music / artist / song, and offers to save or broadcast it on Facebook and Twitter, etc. I think it's a good idea. Someone please get on it.

America / Gov't : We (individuals) need a "Go get 'em" attitude. How ironic - "Yes We Can" turned into "Help Me Out".

Ha, I "heard it through the grapevine" (and I'm not really surprised) that Anthony Bourdain is an asshole.

(I forget what exact day this happened) - I just had a crazy weird Inception moment cuz I had a dream about having a dream in which I had sleep paralysis. So crazy. Semi-terrifying.

Jan 15, '11 - My dog is having a great old time watching tv. He's watching Scrubs. He's so f'kn cool cuz of how seriously he takes watching his tv. (p.s. haha at his tv; he doesn't have his own tv.)

^ Update : I just discovered that, on tv, Frankie really likes watching basketball. Makes sense - he's fascinated by the sounds of squeaking shoes. I wonder what he thinks they are. Trip out on that.
